Venturis do cause gasoline to boil. They reduce the pressure head by converting it to velocity head by restricting flow. This reduces the temperature at which gasoline boils, allowing it to vaporize.

Similar effects are the reason why you can't just use butterfly valves on everything -- when you drop the pressure too much, the process fluid boils causing something called 'cavitation', which destroys control valves.

I don't know. This isn't how they were made back in the day. The C6 Corvette, which is the basis for this creation, is a mass produced on a computer controlled assembly line and utilizes top notch modern technology. As someone who restores old cars for a living, this is definitely not how they built them back in the day.

"While this is an undeniably cool ride I’ll still take the genuine historic car over the faux nostalgia any day." .... You don't get it dude, it isn't an attempt at faux nostalgia. What it is is a genuinely cool car made the same way they were back then. Faux nostalgia would be a redesigned Thunderbird, or a newer model Mustang, a redone Challenger, or a new Camaro etc. Any of this sound familiar to you? This car captures the feel of the 57-59's while not being an attempt at capturing former glory. It is after all, an entirely NEW car built on timeless design cues ...Your opinion may vary, SS model shown. Price does not include Post Opinion Inspection.

The last comment made my coke shoot out of my nose.

People like that make me feel like I could cure cancer or invent a vehicle that runs off of human excrement. Thanks for boosting my self esteem, friend.

An interesting view of the automotive industry. Where do you see the future of the industry, will it ever recover or will there be major casulties?

This blog is ancient. You talk about BMW as an innovator. You forget that Honda is working on the Insight. It will be powered by a fuel cell that will never have to be replaced like the nickel-metal hydride batteries used in the Toyotas. This is the best, most practical, zero emission vehicle coming to market.
